Declared “Best Eyewear Shop in Chicago” by the Chicago Reader, Labrabbit is an independent optical dispensary like no other.  Located in beautiful Wicker Park, we specialize in prescription lenses, vintage + contemporary frames, and radical sunglasses. After over a decade working in the corporate optical industry we decided to go solo, building what is rapidly  becoming a national destination for iconic, original eyewear.

 

Our collection of over 800 unique frames contains pieces from a number of coveted vintage brands, including Cazal, Dior, Neostyle, Dunhill, Carlos Falchi, Carrera, and Ralph Lauren.  Labrabbit also carries a number of contemporary brands that you won’t easily find elsewhere, such as Reiz, Capitol, RVS, Shuron, Andy Wolf, Randolph Engineering, Yellows Plus, Lunettes Kollektion, Drift, Kuboraum, Lee Allen Eyewear, Westward Leaning, Aframes, Bruno Chaussignand, and Tart Optical.

 

Owner/ optician Coyote DeGroot holds an Advanced Certification from the American Board of Opticianry and will offer you experienced, intelligent advice. Taking into account your prescription and frame choice, we help choose the lens product that’s best for you.  Our approach toward eyewear is artisanal and educated, and we take the time to ensure an optimum balance of good looks, comfort, and clear vision.
