Browline, Clubmaster, G-Man, Malcolm X Glasses…whatever you call it, the legendary metal/plastic combination frame that defined a generation of eyewear design can be traced back to one company: Shuron.  Invented in the late-1940′s by Shuron vice-president Jack Rohrbach, the “Ronsir” went on to sell millions upon millions of units and was often copied, as typically happens with any truly innovative design.  Shuron is still quite active in 2011, and Labrabbit proudly stocks their sturdy, American-made frames.  Shown here are four variations on the Ronsir; many size and color combinations are possible, and we’re happy to custom-order the frame that suits your features best, free of charge.  Check out their website here for the Ronsir, as well as many other classic eyeglasses.  And remember: these are not “vintage” frames.  They are brand new, produced in Greenville, South Carolina in the same manner as they were over 60 years ago.
