A favorite of both celebrities and the style elite for well over five decades, Tart Optical is one of the most fetishized eyewear brands in American history.  The Arnel and FDR are true classics, unforgettable shapes that are still relevant 50 years after their inception; they’ve been worn notably by Gene Hackman, James Dean, Johnny Depp, James Franco, and Lady Gaga.  Tart frames were out of production for years, and vintage pieces in good condition were expensive and often difficult to find.

Luckily, that’s no longer a problem: This October, Tart Optical partnered with a top Japanese eyewear atelier to re-release several of their legendary models.  Unsurprisingly, Labrabbit Optics is the only shop in Chicago to carry this new generation of frames, and we’re honored to work with such a historically significant brand.  We currently stock the frames pictured here along with a few others, and we can easily order any size and color combination offered on Tart’s website.
