One of the most commonly asked questions at the shop is, “Do you accept insurance?” And the answer is “Yes, and no.”
Most insurance providers will only do business with an optical shop if an optometrist works on-site, or if an optometrist has partial ownership in the shop. Neither is the case at Labrabbit, but we can easily accept funds from Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) and Health Savings Accounts (HSAs). A number of our customers are also able to submit proof of payment to their insurance companies for reimbursement via their traditional vision care plans. Be sure to check with your insurance provider to see if that’s an option for you. If so, we’ll gladly compose an itemized receipt for you.
Finally, keep in mind that the funds in FSAs/HSAs usually expire on January 1st, so be sure to use the money before it disappears.
